The Department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering (EEE) at TKM College of Engineering hosted an enlightening talk session on the topic "Praxis, Gnosis, Prognosis." The event was held in the Electrical Seminar Hall and witnessed active participation from faculty members, students, and professionals. The session commenced with a warm welcome speech by Ms. Amina, a faculty member of the Electrical Department. The session was presided over by Ms. Sheeba R, Head of the Department (HOD), EEE Department, who highlighted the importance of knowledge-sharing platforms and their role in inspiring the academic community. The speaker, Mr. Bijil Varghese, a distinguished professional with a BSc in Mechanical Engineering, delivered an engaging speech on the topic "Praxis, Gnosis, Prognosis." His address provided a holistic understanding of the interconnection between practical ability, absolute knowledge, and prognosis. He began by defining knowledge, science, and technology, tracing their evolution through different cultural backgrounds. He emphasized ethical practices and shared valuable advice based on his experiences. He delved into intriguing topics such as: 1. The significance of ancestral wisdom and local practices like naturela. 2. Techniques and learning tricks from historical and modern perspectives. 3. The current scenario of technological advancements and their impacts. The session concluded with Mr. Bijil Varghese sharing his professional experience and motivation with the audience. A few months ago, advised by Sidelmo Silva, I defended my master's thesis on a "Device-Level Interleaved Converter for DC-AC Applications", an interleaved inverter which leverages a sequential pulse-width modulation scheme with single output inductors. Our findings show that this technology enable inverters to achieve effective switching frequencies even higher than those of conventional interleaved converters. More importantly, it eliminates the need for additional inductors in the system, potentially making it more cost-effective for traction inverters. A special thanks to Braz de Jesus Cardoso Filho and Menaouar Berrehil El Kattel for having examined this thesis. The First Post of "Introduction to Electrical Engineering at Sharif University"! In this series of posts, we intend to explain all the #courses offered at the Department of #Electrical Engineering at #Sharif University. We’ll cover the course content, general overviews, and real-world applications, along with citing relevant sources. In our first post, we delve into the introductory course related to the field, titled “Introduction to Electrical Engineering.” The Electrical Engineering Department is the first to offer this type of course. Many students, after the chaos and uncertainty of the #university entrance exam (Konkur), enter the university environment with various concerns. Through this course, students become familiar with the world of electrical engineering, its courses, specializations, and scientific fields. Additionally, they explore entrepreneurial experiences, #industry insights, market dynamics, and essential student skills within the context of Sharif University. Furthermore, alongside presentations by faculty members, industry professionals, and ecosystem entrepreneurs, industrial visits are incorporated to acquaint students with relevant spaces.

This course is designed as the basics review of derivatives as they apply to electrical functions. It is designed for the student of electrical engineering who comes across theoretical formulas that reference derivatives. A detailed understanding of derivatives is not required in order to continue the electrical topic and this course will provide the basic amount required. 9 lessons in 3h 35min total course length.

Hello beautiful people 🥰, During our mini-project, my coursemates and I faced challenges with sourcing and using electrical components. This slowed down our progress and made the process more stressful than it needed to be. Unfortunately, this isn’t an isolated issue—many students struggle to access the right components for their final-year projects and other engineering tasks. From the knowledge gained in EDS 411, we identified a profitable and sustainable solution to this problem. That’s how The Electric Hub was born—a platform designed to simplify access to electrical components, ensuring that students and innovators can complete their projects efficiently and without unnecessary setbacks.
