Hi Network!!! Hope everyone is well. I know many of us Recruiting Professionals are actively in the market looking for great opportunities right now, I wanted to reach out and get yout thoughts on this subject: If you have more than ten years experience and possess Bilingual skills, are you noticing how those positions which are asking for Bilingual skills are way below market? I have seen opportunities categorized as "mid-senior level" paying $18.01/hr, and they required more that five years experience. Why are corporate organizations undervaluing such a great asset in Bilingual candidates? Please share your thoughts!!! Make it great today!!!!!

Did you know that some IT-related positions in Japan do not require high proficiency of Japanese? In Japan, there are various IT positions that do not necessitate a high level of proficiency in the Japanese language. This means that individuals with a strong IT background can explore job opportunities in Japan without the need to be fluent in Japanese. Some roles specifically require no knowledge of Japanese at all, while others may require individuals to be proficient in both Japanese and English. For example, multinational companies in Japan often seek IT professionals who can work in an international environment where English is the primary language of communication. These companies value individuals who can effectively bridge the language gap between Japanese and non-Japanese colleagues. In recent years, the demand for bilingual IT professionals in Japan has been on the rise. According to statistics, the number of job postings for bilingual IT positions has increased significantly, highlighting the importance of language skills in the industry. Companies are recognizing the value of having employees who can navigate both Japanese and English languages seamlessly, leading to more opportunities for bilingual IT specialists. Whether one is fully bilingual or only proficient in English, there are avenues to explore within the Japanese IT industry that cater to different language abilities. It is an exciting time for those looking to work in IT in Japan, as the industry continues to evolve and embrace diversity in language skills. Executive Director @ ZMG Ward Howell | Revenue Management, Reports Optimization, Strategic Sourcing, Talent Intelligence
Following our post on the overview of the population of Japanese speakers based in Metro Manila, we are now presenting the results of our calculations to determine the level of difficulty in hiring these professionals using our ZMG Hiring Difficulty Scale®, a proprietary talent market metric developed by our team. The results of our analysis suggest that organizations may face challenges in filling vacancies that require proficiency in the Japanese language. While on a surface level, it shows that the supply of talent still outweighs the demand, it does not guarantee a quick and easy hire. In the case of Japanese-speaking professionals, we are presented with a highly competitive talent landscape that equates to a longer time-to-fill and multiple counter-offers. In a Very Difficult hiring situation, it is vital for organizations to make informed decisions that are supported by actionable insights and analyses. This approach will allow them to navigate the talent market and implement workforce strategies aligned to their objectives. Is your organization experiencing difficulties in hiring for certain roles?
