WE USE THE HIGHEST QUALITY UV INKS ON THE MARKET. WE CAN USE A PMS COLOR, ONE OF OUR STOCK COLORS OR MATCH ANY COLOR YOU WANT US TO MATCH: Our UV inks only dry or cure when exposed to high intensity UV light. As you can see, the inks do not dry when exposed only to air. We have a large number of stock colors, but we can custom mix just about any color you want. Our printers are experts at color matching! We can use a PMS color, stock colors or match any color. You just have to send us a sample. We do not match to a computer screen color. When a customer says they just want a red, it is not quite that simple. There are 5 different stock reds, 5 different stock blues and so on. Mixing ink for monoprinting - a quick process video from the studio. Printmaking ink systems include three parts - the ink with colour / pigment, extender (ink without pigment) and a third part that changes the viscosity or stickiness of the ink (not illustrated here, but with Hawthorn inks this is linseed jelly or oil). The three parts can be mixed to achieve the desired effect when printmaking. The higher the ratio of extender to pigment, the more transparent the layer of ink when printed. For monoprinting this is important as it is a process of building layers of colour which combine on the paper to create new colours. Do you questions about printmaking? Let me know
