Interesting virtual conference on demystifying Electromagnetic Compatibility --yesterday (now on demand, free of charge, morning session Part 1, afternoon Part 2)
Well organized and conducted with speakers internationally active in their very fields of expertise.
Among others, some new requirements for Calibration in EMC/ Receivers (Part 1) should be interesting to testing industry.
I personally enjoyed very much in particular (Part 2) overviews and comprehensive standard updates (CISPR above 6GHz, ISO Automotive --ESA and Vehicle testing-- and Medical EMC)
"Unveil the magic of conducted emissions testing"
Here I was a little irritated detecting a metallic ground plane on the test bench (commercial CISPR , not MIL or ESA Automotive) under the EUT LED PS.
The demo was still very informative and good. The critical question however is: Introducing additional stray capacitance (CM, EUT to GP)? This may certainly, in many cases, make the EUT better pass.
Therefore danger of potentially undetected non-compliance EUT issues.
