Chag Sukkot Sameach🎗🇮🇱❤️ Sukkot is a Jewish festival that lasts for seven days (eight days outside of Israel) and typically falls in September or October. It commemorates the biblical period during which the Israelites wandered in the desert for 40 years after their exodus from Egypt. During this time, they lived in temporary shelters or huts, known as *sukkot* (singular: *sukkah*). The central observance of Sukkot is the building and dwelling in these temporary huts, which serve as a reminder of the fragile dwellings the Israelites used in the wilderness. These sukkot are constructed with a roof made of natural materials (such as branches) through which the sky can be seen. Sukkot is also known as the Feast of Tabernacles or the Feast of Ingathering, as it coincides with the agricultural harvest in Israel. During the festival, four species of plants—*lulav* (palm branch), *etrog* (citron), *hadass* (myrtle), and *aravah* (willow)—are waved in a ritual called the *Four Species* to symbolize unity and gratitude for the harvest. Sukkot is a joyful holiday marked by festive meals, prayers, and gatherings, and it is one of the three major pilgrimage festivals in Judaism, during which ancient Israelites would travel to the Temple in Jerusalem #timetostandupforisrael

It was so simple if the Arabs would have taken the opportunity and had renounced their colonial urges 👇 The original partition plan for Palestine of 1921 was a proposal made  to divide the British Mandate of Palestine into separate Jewish and Arab states. The main key points of the partition plan were: 1. Partition of the territory: The plan proposed to divide the British Mandate of Palestine into two independent states - one Jewish (23 pct of the land)and one Arab(77 pct of the land). In the final Participation plan from 1947 Jews even got only 19 pct of the area and Arabs 81 pct. 2. Economic union: The plan called for an economic union between the two states, with a joint currency, joint control of customs and tariffs, and free movement of people and goods. 3. Demographic considerations: The partition lines were drawn to incorporate as many Jews as possible into the proposed Jewish state, and as many Arabs as possible into the proposed Arab state. ‼️🇮🇱The partition plan was accepted by the Jewish leadership but rejected by Arab leaders, leading to the 1948 Arab-Israeli war after the end of the British Mandate. 🇮🇱‼️ #timetostandupforisrael
