Following the recent approval of new FIPS standards #FIPS203, #FIPS204, and #FIPS205, #NIST has released a factsheet urging organizations to consider early adoption of post-quantum cryptographic #PQC standards. The document emphasizes the importance of developing a quantum readiness roadmap to safeguard against adversarial cryptanalytically relevant quantum computer capabilities #CRQC, which could compromise existing #PKI systems. #cybersecurity #dataprotection

The NSA published a milestone report last week on the activities and 'tradecraft' of the PRC's cyber warfare on the United States.. It confirmed what we all knew already - and was spotlighted in testimony to congress this summer by both FBI Director Christopher Wray and NSA Chief General Timothy Haugh in testimony to congress this summer. But now all of the details of PRC activities and tradecraft are explicitly laid out. The Bottom Line: the Internet is not safe. The assumptions upon which cybersecurity architectures have been designed are based on a ‘good enough’ approach that simply does not apply to the world we now live in. We need a fundamentally new approach built on a truly Zero Trust architecture.
