Formula One 🏎 race 3/24 in Australia at Albert Park Circuit 🏁 this weekend. As we gear up for the highly anticipated race in 2024, let's remember the fundamental principles of Formula 1 - speed, strategy, and teamwork - that can also be applied to our sales and marketing efforts. Just like the drivers on the track, we need to be agile and constantly adapting to stay ahead of the competition. The quarter-end is a crucial time for us, where we evaluate our performance and make necessary adjustments to reach our targets. The same goes for the teams in the Formula 1 race, where every second counts and a well-executed strategy can make all the difference. So let's take inspiration from the 2024 Formula 1 Australian Grand Prix and use it as a driving force to achieve our sales and marketing goals this quarter. Let's go for the win! #F12024 #SalesAndMarketing #QuarterEndGoals #digitalengagement https://lnkd.in/echtHwgz

So here we are, race week for a Grand Prix that could legitimately claim to be the most highly anticipated in history. The Las Vegas GP represents Formula 1's biggest bet on the US to date. Fuelled by the growth in interest in the sport over the last few years, they have taken on promotion of a race for the first time, which has brought with it some significant challenges. Costs of over $500m, including a $240m purchase of land for the pit garages, team areas and hospitality, have been higher than forecast, whilst the logistical challenges of hosting a prime time Saturday night race in the "entertainment capital of the world" have been complex to say the least. Whilst some may consider the event to be a big risk, the rewards could also be huge. It's being predicted that having the F1 circus in town will bring $1.2bn to the Las Vegas economy, a pretty astounding number. Whether that continues over the race's expected ten year stay in the Sin City remains to be seen. https://bit.ly/3QTdyho #f1 #formula1 #racing #lasvegasgp #sportsbiz

"Milton Keynes roundabouts helped me with Formula 1... The hairpin in Monaco is tighter than most roundabouts in Milton Keynes." These words by Liam Lawson really struck me. It's frightening to hear that the design of some UK roads can make drivers see the tarmac as a literal racetrack to speed on, and not as an integral part of the public realm. This really proves that the width, radii, surface material, and speed of roads can have a massive impact upon their use. If Milton Keynes' roundabouts have a larger radius than Monaco's, then we clearly have a real problem on our hands. Roads should not equal racing. Convenience should not equal car-crashes or catastrophe. Streets should instead equal safe, sacred spaces and social success 🙌 https://lnkd.in/gcZR93Rv #roaddesign #safestreets #urbandesign #racing #publicrealm #trafficcalming

Only three (3) Racing Point Formula 1 partners, 2020, are left in the Aston Martin Formula 1 partnership network 2024. What happens in the partnership network of a Formula 1 team when a works/manufacturer team takes over? The Racing Point F1 team became Aston Martin in 2021, after Lawrence Stroll agreed a £182 million deal to buy into Aston Martin. In the picture we see the Racing Point partnership network 2020 and the three partners left on the Aston Martin 2024 partnership network. Left are: 👉 Pirelli is as a F1 tire supplier still with Aston Martin 👉 Canadian Bombardier has been with fellow Canadian since Stroll invested in Formula 1 👉 JCB, the UK manufacturer of construction equipment, is also still with Aston Martin. Sergio Perez moved to Red Bull and American Movil, Telcel, Claro and Infinitum, the Slim family companies, followed to RedBull Racing 2021. If we look at the Racing Point network 2020 we find companies still in Formula 1, but not with Aston Martin. #astonmartin hashtag #formula1

Formula E started with 2 races in the US 10 years ago (Long Beach & Miami). Formula E's CEO has just hinted 2 races in the US are again the target for the 2026 calendar. "My view has always been the US needs more than one race," stated FE's CEO. "It needs at least two, maybe more than that. The good news is we have a lot of American cities that are interested in putting on a race. If you look at the US, probably 20 [cities could host Formula E]... New York, Los Angeles, Miami, Atlanta, Detroit, Phoenix, Dallas, you go on and on... There are so many big cities that have motorsport heritage that could sustain a race." https://lnkd.in/eB_m2NV2

#feinsider #nissanproud #nissanemployee Know about Formula E (post-2) Practice, qualifying and the race is scheduled mostly over one day Unlike other championships that spread themselves over three days, most of the Formula E schedule takes place on race day. There’s one half an hour practice on Friday evenings for teams, just to get a feel for the tracks we race on, but all the big moments happen on race day which is often a Saturday or Sunday. You might think, that’s a lot to pack into one day, and you’d be right! A second practice session is slotted in for the morning, which is followed by qualifying and then the race. In between sessions, there are also various track activities, medical inspections as well as drivers having commitments like debriefs and autograph sessions for the fans. There’s no denying race day is a busy one, but if you’re on the ground at the race it means that there’s always something to see or do! Will know about more in following posts #feinsider #nissanproud #nissanev #sustainability #environmentalsustainability

Until just last year, the Reno Air Racing Association held an annual event known as the National Championship Air Races near Reno, NV. It was a major air show for modern and antique aircraft alike. The first Reno Air Races events were organized by Bill Stead in 1964. A pilot and veteran of WWII, he put together four racing categories. After the first two years at Sky Ranch Airfield, the races then moved to Reno Stead Airport (formerly Stead Air Force, named for Bill’s brother). The modern shows featured static displays and aerial demonstrations in addition to the races. For better or worse, 2023 was the last time the event was held in Reno. No races were held this year because the association was searching for a new venue, but in 2025 it’s slated to take place at Roswell Airport in New Mexico. The races will fall under seven categories: - Formula 1 – These are homebuilt aircraft that use the 100-hp Continental O-200 engine. - T-6 – All aircraft in this category are variants of the T-6 Texan. - Sport – This category is for high-performance kit-built aircraft. - Jet – Most airframes in this race are small jet-powered trainers like the Czech Aero L-29 and L-39, the Polish TS-11, and the British BAC Jet Provost. - Biplane – Pilots push the limits of small biplanes up to about 200 mph on a 3.18-mile loop. - Unlimited – These are nearly all modified WWII fighters like P-51s and Hawker Sea-Furies. - STOL Drag – Pilots have a 2000-foot span to take off, land, come to a complete stop, then turn around and repeat. The quickest time wins. Time to plan a trip to Roswell! #RenoAirRace

While Europe has traditionally been the heart of Formula 1, the continent currently hosts only nine of the 24 races on the calendar. However, there are hints that this could change, with “many” more grands prix expected to take place across Europe in the near future. Presently, Formula 1 is on the cusp of a global expansion, with new markets in the Middle East, the Americas, and Asia growing rapidly. But the European base, where F1 has deep roots, may also see a resurgence. The current speculation centres on the idea that F1 could introduce a rotation system for some European races, a move that would allow more events to take place without exceeding the current cap of 24 races per season. #EUSports #EUToday #F1 #Formula1
