Company wide PTO days might be more restful than individual vacation days. There is something very restful for an employee about knowing they aren't missing anything. Allows them to truly unplug. The slacks stop The emails stop No missed meetings No boss texts Avoids the feeling of being behind Examples of how to execute this: - Friday's after 12pm are off company wide from Memorial Day to Labor Day - Make all 3 day weekends 4 day weekends #PTO #Vacation

📣CEOs, if you're working during your holiday PTO, your employees are likely doing the same. It's crucial to take a break, especially during the holiday season. While it may not feel like a break for everyone, working during PTO while juggling family visits, shopping, and cooking can be mentally exhausting. Encourage your employees to take time off and recharge. #PTO #holidaybreak #employeeencouragement

Instead of maximum allowed vacation days or unlimited PTO, companies should have MINIMUM required PTO---ie employees are required to take at least 21 days PTO each year or a minimum of 5 days per quarter. Something like that, where there is a culture and expectation of regularly taking time off. #vacation #pto #companyculture #mentalhealth

All of this. In the realm of not taking PTO, if you work on PTO I am also not impressed. If you answer emails or tag into calls etc., I am not astounded by your dedication to work. As a matter of fact, I am concerned. I am wondering what is going on with you that you can't step away for 5 business days without engaging. Granted, there are a few jobs where people legitimately cannot step away like that but they are few and far between and most of us don't work those jobs. Take your PTO. Actually take your PTO. You and your workplace will be better for it.
Not taking your PTO isn’t the flex you think it is! In fact it shows a lack of boundaries, I’m not impressed. Do better, book a vacation! Work to live, don’t live to work. Note: If you work in an environment that doesn’t allow you to take PTO you should leave! Tell me about a vacation you have planned that’s coming up. #pto #unlimitedvacation #worldofwork
