Highly automated driving at level 3 relies on a high degree of networking between the information systems involved. Intelligent solutions for automated hazard avoidance in real time are intended to bring a digital form of “swarm intelligence” to the road in the future, which will help to mitigate safety deficits. But what happens if the information chain is prone to error and no valid data is transmitted due to insufficient system reliability?
