NEW PRODUCT: Tungaloy Adds L/D=8 Bodies to Small Diameter Head Exchangeable Drill “AddMeisterDrill” “AddMeisterDrill” is a revolutionary head exchangeable drill that combines the cutting performance of solid carbide drills with the convenience of indexable drills. It supports small diameter hole machining with tool diameters ranging from ø4.0 to ø5.9 mm (0.1574” to 0.2323”). Two types of heads are available: the versatile “DMP Head” and the “DMC Head” for high-precision holes, catering to various drilling applications. The body features a special coolant hole design that ensures sufficient coolant discharge for excellent chip evacuation. Additionally, the dedicated clamping key and head are set together to prevent head loss and ensure ease of replacement. This time, the series has been expanded with L/D=8 specification bodies that support tool diameters ranging from ø4.5 to ø5.9 mm (0.1772” to 0.2323”). The shank is a ø6 mm (0.2362”) cylindrical shape, compatible with spring collet chucks and hydraulic holders. Like the existing L/D=3 and L/D=5 bodies, the new body features a specially shaped coolant hole, ensuring adequate coolant discharge, which is crucial for deep hole machining. As promised, here's the inside the workings of the DNM5700 CNC Milling machine. The process kicks off with the precise setup where the metal block is securely clamped onto the machine bed to ensure stability during machining - preventing any movement that could affect the accuracy of the milling process. Next, the machine initiates the facing operation, where a cutting tool traverses across the top surface of the block, removing any irregularities and leaving behind flat and smooth finish. Once the facing is complete, the artisan conducts a detail inspection of the block to confirm its dimensions. Then, utilising the control panel, the artisan inputs the precise drilling parameters, tailoring the program to execute exact depths, diameters, and locations for each hole or feature to be milled. #PrecisionEngineering #PrecisionMetals #CNC #MillingMachine
