📢Calling all #Caerphilly based businesses 📢 The Crown Estate application window is open for an initial £10 million first round of funding that will be specifically aimed at UK projects that could support floating offshore wind in the Celtic Sea. The application process will close on 30 July 2024. Successful projects will be announced from October 2024 following assessment of applications, negotiation of funding and commitment agreements and necessary approvals. The accelerator will provide matched funding of up to £1m per project to UK supply chain projects to help them undertake the early-stage development works necessary to get them “investment-ready”. A further £40 million has been earmarked that could potentially be deployed to support UK projects that meet opportunities identified by the Industrial Growth Plan, which sets out how to triple offshore wind manufacturing capacity over the next 10 years. NEOEN is winning the battle of the Big Batteries in WA. The French renewables giant has announced they will more than double their Collie modular facility to ~560MW/4 hours. The expansion is built on NEOEN winning Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) 's second NCESS tender. NEOEN was one of the successful bidders for the first NCESS round (200MW) at a juicy base capacity price of ~$240,000/MW (plus lots more if dispatched). Will be interesting to see if they won a similar price this time. Obviously the hard work was done on stage 1, which allowed this second successful bid. NEOEN also now has bragging rights in Collie, as its combined battery is bigger than Synergy (Electricity Generation and Retail Corporation)'s under development 500MW unit. The future of clean energy starts now! 🌱 UNF, JEA, and Miller Electric Company are launching the EMERGE initiative with a $445,000 grant to train future leaders in renewable energy. This two-year program offers hands-on experience, professional certification, and career pathways for students and early-career electricians. “UNF is proud to work with JEA and Miller Electric on this initiative to meet their workforce needs,” says UNF President Moez Limayem. “Collaborations like this one are examples of how we at UNF are preparing students for the jobs of the future, while fueling the growth of Jacksonville, one of the hottest job markets in the country.”

🎉Thrilled to share that our team, 2 States, consisting me, Apurva Kashish and Soham Bagade, secured the title of National Finalists in the YCP Auctus X Catalyst JGU Case Competition organized by Catalyst JGU - The Management Consulting Society. Our team has secured a position in the Top 8 teams across the nation with the competition consisting of 300+ teams. 🥳 The problem statement revolves around CEA, an energy and oil company 🏗🏭 who receives an offer from Saudi Aramco to set up a solar energy project💡🔌 on Build - Own - Operate - Transfer (BOOT) model. Our job was to look at the feasibility of the project, look for ways to finance it, cater to technological advancements and devise a comprehensive plan of action. Our solution includes: 1) Diversifying the financing options into Debt, Equity and Government Grants along with Cost Optimization Strategies to reduce potential risk and ensure financial stability. 💵📊 2) Implementation of the project in a phase wise manner, with each phase implementing a new solar power method. This also includes collaborating with leading solar-tech industries for joint innovation.🔋💡 3) Strategic Alignment also includes using financial derivatives like option contracts to hedge against price fluctuations and securing local partnerships. ⚖️📝 Our selected deck is attached below for the detailed study.
