Heritage, Health & Hospitals: A History of Ideas Come and ASCHB on the 18th April for a day of talks from a wide range of wonderful speakers, culminating in what should be another remarkable plenary session. You can find full details of how to sign up at https://lnkd.in/ebvfTcY9 As with so many aspects of our lives, healthcare changed radically as a result of the Industrial Revolution and The Enlightenment. Some changes were of immense value, but others had unfortunate consequences. ASCHB2024 turns the microscope onto the healthcare and the historic environment, examining the impacts of science and fashion on hospitals and other healthcare settings, and asking: what are we doing right, and where have we gone off the rails? How can we extract the best ideas from the whole history of healthcare in the built environment, to construct a better and healthier future?

Today, at the new headquarters of J&J Innovative Medicine Italia the J&J Week has kicked off: a week full of events and meetings with institutions, clinicians, patient associations, and clinical research partners. During the morning, we had the opportunity to discuss and understand which skills need to be further developed today for the healthcare professionals of the future, in order to grasp innovation and make it available to patients as quickly as possible. It also offered an open landscape for physicians to discuss ways to improve their practice and navigate the political landscape. Another area of focus on how physicians can improve relationships with patients and take action through advocacy groups.
