This Labor Day, I am thankful for: 1. Meaningful work 2. How much physical working conditions have improved since the first Labor Day in 1882. The average American worked 6 days/week, 12 hours a day back then. 3. How there has been an increased awareness of the importance of mental health and burnout prevention in recent years in the workplace. Working hard at work worth doing is where it's at

It's Fat Tuesday! Laissez le bon temps rouler! Mardi Gras Day is February 13, 2024. Fat Tuesday is the last day of the Carnival season as it always falls the day before Ash Wednesday, the first day of Lent. The official start of Carnival Season is Twelfth Night, January 6. Nothing about Mardi Gras is predictable – not even the date. Unlike Christmas or the 4th of July which always fall on the same calendar day, the only thing you can count on for sure with Carnival is that Fat Tuesday will fall on, well, a Tuesday.
