But instead of talking about us, I want to share FIVE quick trends I'm seeing in the world of digital experiences: ➡ AI unlocks speed and productivity - we have gone from "Sh*t, is AI going to replace us" to "AI is taking 10 seconds to generate my blogpost". With AI being embedded in DXPs, marketers can generate more content than ever, more test ideas and variations, and quickly understand customer interests without needing a human to go through a vast amount of data. What a time to be alive! ➡ Content governance - with great power (like AI), comes great responsibility. While AI can speed up a lot of the marketing day-to-day tasks, you of course still want to protect the voice of your brand. How are you ensuring that the content and digital experiences you're putting out there still go through gatekeeping and compliance without creating huge friction? (Lucky we solve for this too!) ➡ Consolidation and simplification - lots of software are entering the MarTech space more than ever, but they now solve for smaller and smaller parts of the value chain. We now can buy best-of-breed garlic press, and best-of-breed salad spinner. How about a best-of-breed kitchen with best-of-breed tools I can just walk into and start cooking? ➡ Personalisation is table-stakes for any business investing in their digital experience. The script has evolved from "do it to increase conversions" to "do it to protect your customer-base". In a crowded online world, for your business to stand out, your digital experiences need to be relevant so customers can get their job done fast with you and move on to the next thing. They expect this when doing business with you. Otherwise, they'll switch to someone who can do it better. Personalise and protect your customer-base. ➡ Revenue stack over Tech stack - I recently worked with a GM of Digital Experience who said that their tech stack before kept growing, while their revenue stack was not. There were lots of investment made across an accumulated tech stack that they struggle to get value out of. What a treat to be entering MAD//FEST’s famous Hexagon stage with such an incredible expert as Rio Longacre from Slalom to discuss the latest trends on #AI and #automation in #marketing - the fitting title: From MAD//Men to AI Teams. It was THE topic at MAD//Fest: How do marketers leverage AI beyond the (sometimes spectacular) creative use? After all, we are not all designers or creators. CMOs shift their view on enabling AI and automation for processes and especially in the media buying and management process. Some key numbers from the fireside chat: ⚙️ 92% of marketers believe AI improves efficiency in existing processes - this is far more than expanding creative capabilities (only 52%). So while our LinkedIn feeds might be still full of impressive AI-generated pictures or videos, the conversation on the ground at MAD//Fest was already shifting towards the improvement of efficiency of teams and processes. 📊 73% of marketers consider campaign budgeting and management as the next big area for AI implementation in the next 12-18 months. Since advertising is one of the largest cost areas for marketing teams each percentage point saved can have a massive effect on your general advertising spend. 🚀 43.6% of the marketing tech stack is not utilized by the relevant teams. This means that procurement or other departments purchase tools that are not needed - while missing out on some of more effective tools that can really propel the business forward.
