A guy’s gotta eat, so why not find amazing people to enhance the experience?
My son and I had the pleasure of dining with an inspiring group including the dynamic Elizabeth Yang, a fellow family lawyer and Entrepreneurs' Organization (EO) member, her husband Philip Cheng and their two wonderful children as well as her forum mate Tristan Bordallo and EO Los Angeles President Andy Cheng.
In Keith Ferrazzi's "Never Eat Alone," the value of networking over a meal is highlighted. Our dinner was not just a meal but a convergence of diverse experiences and shared aspirations. Elizabeth and Philip's insights into balancing entrepreneurial pursuits with family life were enlightening. Andy's and Tristan's visionary ideas and innovative approaches to EO (EO LA hosts over 100 events a year!), life and business added layers to our engaging conversations.
This evening was more than just an exchange of business thoughts; it was a celebration of the enduring power of relationships. As Ferrazzi emphasizes, it's these connections that drive personal and professional growth. We shared, learned, and most importantly, we built a network of support and understanding.
As I reflect on the evening, I am reminded that our networks are not just built through professional meetings but through genuine, heartfelt interactions like these. The power of sitting down, sharing a meal, and discussing life's triumphs and challenges cannot be overstated.
Here's to more such gatherings, where we not only share a table but also ideas, challenges, and laughter - the best conversations often happen over a simple meal.
