Great to see BiaSol and the benefits of the Circular Economy. It underscores the huge potential of industrial symbiosis, in which outputs from one process serve as inputs for another. (A fancy way of saying that one person's trash is another person's treasure and it benefits the economy.) I also think circular principles are becoming increasingly attractive to investors.
Congratulations to BiaSol on their continuing success. At the start of their journey the company participated in an InterTradeIreland Synergy initiative and as a result were introduced to a new investor in Northern Ireland. We are delighted to read this announcement about their new listing with Tescos! Read more here 👉 https://lnkd.in/eKXQ588q

Since our last update on the subject a year ago, the bulk wine market has faced ongoing challenges. The inventory of bulk wine available for sale has surged in all areas. Turrentine Brokerage, for instance, was managing the sale of 19 million gallons across the state by the close of the second quarter the previous year. By February 2024, this figure had escalated to 24 million gallons of bulk wine on the market. Continual struggles have plagued the bulk wine market, following our previous report on the matter from last year, marked by a rising stockpile of bulk wine for sale in various regions. Notably, Turrentine Brokerage's figures rose from selling 19 million gallons of wine statewide by the end of the second quarter of last year to 24 million gallons by February 2024. The increase in available bulk wine, especially of older vintages, points to the enduring lack of demand in the market. “Alt-protein is a game that needs to be done on a massive scale, so the cost of capital becomes a major constraint here. This means that the business needs to be large-scale, too. However, it is hard because if you want to be a large-scale business, you can’t be a niche/boutique business; rather, you should go mainstream. This, in turn, means low margins." Bonkers Bargain receives an offer | Tough to understand Calnex Solutions #CLX) CVS Group #CVSG FD Technologies #FDP Naked Wines #WINE Watkin Jones #WJG XP Power XPP The takeover approaches for UK small caps continue, this time for one of Investor's Champion's Bonkers Bargain opportunities. The approach looks extremely opportunistic. The update here also covers an assessment of results from several companies which have fallen on harder times and were previously much more highly valued. A well-followed online wine retailer reassured the market, but the business model still appears to needs a big re-think. #smallcaps #aim #ihtplanning https://lnkd.in/ewE3_jhv

Last year, I wrote my report on Ontario's brewery mergers and acquisitions. It resulted in over 2000 unique device visits, being shared across several colleges and big banks, and was one of the month's most-read blog posts hosted on the Shopify platform. It also got 10 upvotes on Reddit. Here is this year's industry report. There will be many challenges soon, but the beer industry has survived similar market patterns. It was important to me to keep this information accessible so anyone can read it, but I can only do so through the materials I sell on the website. If you appreciate the research, please share, pick up some tri-clamps, or send some beer. I like lagers. This is a must read for anyone involved in the craft beer industry. Do not ignore industry changes that present relatively minor challenges right now. Doing that will only ensure that they become major issues for your brand or company down the road. Once you get to that point it's most likely too late. There are plenty of opportunities to be had right now, especially for small and local breweries. Put in the work to take advantage of these opportunities now, despite the slight industry headwinds. With the proper game plan in place, you will set your brand up to succeed and stand out in the near future, ensuring your long term growth and success. A great plan, a positive mindset, and a willingness to work hard will do wonders.
As craft beer continues to make this turn, experts point to impacts of mergers and acquisitions (M&A), niche market players and flavor innovations as a way to help the segment recover its market share. #CraftBeer #BeerReport #BeverageIndustry https://brnw.ch/21wI8us
