We are proud to be a sponsor of the Virginia Funders Network 2024 Stronger Together Conference, learning more about trends in Virginia’s philanthropy landscape to bring back to our clients. The opening keynote from John W. Martin focused on broadening our view of what it means to be an “anchor institution,” reframing them as community impact agents with all kinds of organizations with reach, networks, and convening power. That sounds like all of our clients, especially those with statewide reach. It is energizing to engage in conversations with funders, subject matter experts, and many friends from across VA!

At TvM, we believe titles can open doors. 🚪 And we know that nonprofits are meaningful, innovative, complicated organizations that require solid executive-level leadership - just like any other company. Now, we find that most of the people who lead nonprofits don't put much stock in titles - they are there for the mission (and we love that!) And regardless of which title you may have - you are doing the same job leading your organization as its chief executive.
