Community Needs Network – Bringing Essential Support to Our Community✨ Over the past three years, our team has raised and donated over $100,000 to support our local communities through The Community Needs Network. This initiative is dedicated to uniting our efforts to make a meaningful impact for those in need.❤️ How It Works: The Community Needs Network operates on the strength of collaboration and generosity. Our team comes together to organize creative and engaging fundraising events. We use the proceeds to either purchase essential items or provide emergency kits when needed. Sometimes, instead of monetary funds, we collect direct donations of crucial items to distribute to those in need. This flexible approach ensures we can offer the right support at the right time, based on the community’s most urgent needs. We work to understand the most urgent needs of our community and provide targeted support, whether it’s food, hygiene supplies, or other critical resources. 👏 Our mission is to ensure that everyone in our community has access to essential items when they need them most. Small charities are struggling more than ever. Holding Space is no exception. Our work is crucial to the parents and carers of East Sussex, but if things continue as they are we may not be here in 2025 to meet the needs of our local community. And to meet the needs of our local community, we need our community to help us. Funding opportunities are shrinking, while the number of small charities needing support is increasing. We rely on donations, we rely on volunteers. We’re vulnerable. There are so many fantastic ways that small charities can be supported by their community. But it has to come from people. People who want to make a difference, a tangible difference. Introducing Caring Through the Cold ❄️🥰 We are very excited to share with you our new campaign Caring Through the Cold! We want people to understand the importance of keeping elderly individuals safe, warm, and comfortable during the colder months. The campaign will involve: ❄️Cosy blankets from Homelium being handed out to the vulnerable elderly people. ❄️Helping to educate people on the importance of keeping warm by sharing winter safety tips, home care solutions, and the benefits of tailored care. ❄️Partnering with local organisations, charities, or community groups to extend the reach of the importance of the campaign. We want to make sure that everyone feels warm throughout the colder months as no one deserves to feel cold, especially with the rising costs of heating! Howes Percival’s Norwich office has raised over £9,000 for its 2024 Charity of the Year, The Feed. The Feed aims to empower communities in Norwich, ensuring everyone can eat well, live well & feel connected. Its initiatives include a community café, a Social Supermarket and other projects to support some of the city’s most vulnerable people. Chris Elliott of The Feed, commented: "We have really enjoyed our year of support from Howes Percival's Norwich office. The team have helped The Feed in so many ways including a large group completing our 15-mile Coast Walk, many have volunteered at our Social Supermarket and Community Café, and they have continued to use our catering for their office events.
