There's something distinct about the production of 'N-series' perfumes by aaa/unbranded®. Something reserved for true connoisseurs. The 'N-series' perfumes of aaa/unbranded® take you on an olfactory journey through 9 stages, each inspired by different phases of life, from birth to death. Up to this point, it might make for an intriguing narrative to share with the public. However, we've taken it a step further, drawing inspiration from our ethos of Assembled Around Aesthetics. So, we delved into the realm of wine and spirits. While we couldn't replicate the exact manufacturing process used for whisky, not yet, we did borrow some elements to imbue our 'N-series' perfumes with a unique character. In the pictures, you can observe the disparities between the traditional process and the method we've developed at aaa/unbranded®. The initial phase remains unchanged. However, following the initial maturation and filtering, we've introduced a subsequent aging phase by significantly reducing the size of the barrel. We transition from 50 litres to a maximum of 10 litres. Within these small barrels, the perfume matures for 1 to 23 weeks, in an environment of stable temperature and humidity. 🍒 Dive into the World of Cherry Fragrances with ChromEssence's Latest Episode of "What's Inside #5" 🍒 In this episode, we'll delve into the secrets of fragrances infused with cherry notes. These perfumes offer an olfactory experience that is both fruity and sweet, adding a touch of vivacity and sensuality to the composition. Whether black or red, cherries are often utilized in perfumery for their characteristic aroma, which evokes both innocence and temptation. Our spotlight in this episode falls on the latest cherry sensation to hit the market: Black Opium Over Red. How do we capture the essence of this juicy and unique cherry using only 5 ingredients? First and foremost, the star note: essence of bitter Almond. Comprising over 70% benzaldehyde, this essence grants us a powerful olfactory note, with a sharp, almost solvent-like ascent, reminiscent of almonds or cherry pits. Adding to this is beta-ionone, which wraps this linear note with soft floral and slightly woody facets. To achieve this, we'll use 10 times more beta-ionone than essence of bitter almond. A touch of Cassis Base Firmenich will be incorporated to introduce a juicy and slightly acidic note, blending harmoniously with the floral accents of beta-ionone. Lastly, a hint of Maltol and Tonka bean absolute will bring the sweet, almost caramelized gourmand note, balancing out the acidity of cassis and significantly enhancing the longevity of the final note. As today is Valentine’s Day we thought we would take a look at the addictive gourmand fragrance trend that we just can’t get enough of! Online searches in the US for gourmand fragrances were up 46% last year and are expect the grow by 20% this year, according to Spate. Comfortingly familiar, vanilla has to be one of the biggest trends in fragrance right now. Love it or hate it, vanilla has been given a grown-up makeover for a more sophisticated appeal. Think Parfum De Marly’s Althair Eau de Parfum with its vanilla bourbon note contrasted with luminous orange blossom, spices and musk. If you prefer some zing to cut through the sweetness we’ve also seen the trend for citrus gourmand scents with everything from meringue notes in Divine from Jean Paul Gaultier to a lemon cupcake accord in Akro’s Bake scent. Bringing a warm richness to gourmand creations we are also seeing the intriguing combination of tobacco with sweet notes of honey and vanilla for a sophisticated appeal.
