If you buy a perfume, there's a 30% chance that it will have some woody accords. We delved into the accords data of about 13 thousand perfumes launched between 2020 and 2023. Woody accord emerged on top, surpassing sweet, powdery, aromatic, and spicy ones. These findings align with our previous discoveries - musk, vanilla, amber, sandalwood and cedar as the most frequent base notes in today's fragrance industry, creating musky, powdery, sweet and woody accords respectively. Notably, powdery and sweet accords are more present in female fragrances, which occupy around 40% of the fragrance market today, whereas woody accords are quite universal among genders. #FragranceIndustry #BeautyIndustry #perfume #fragrance #perfumery #Scentalytics
