Protecting soldiers on the battlefield is crucial; the materials used can make all the difference. That's why Edwards Design and Fabrication, Inc. worked with our composites experts to develop a lightweight, portable ballistic protection system for the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. 💪 The challenge? Reduce weight and save time in barrier installation. 💡The solution? Say hello to the Modular Protective System (MPS), which incorporates Avient's GlasArmor™ ballistic panels that meet Level 3 protection under Underwriters Laboratories (UL) 752 standards for ballistic resistance and are custom-colored for visual cover in the field. Learn more about this innovative technology from Avient and how it can make a difference for our brave soldiers: https://bit.ly/4e7zPR0 #military #ballisticprotection #composites

Headline: DOD Completes Flight Test of Hypersonic Missile - June 28, 2024 The U.S. Navy and U.S. Army recently completed an end-to-end flight test of a hypersonic missile from the Pacific Missile Range Facility, Kauai, HI. The test provided data on the end-to-end performance of the Conventional Prompt Strike and Long Range Hypersonic Weapon All Up Round. The test marks a step forward for the CPS and LRHW programs. "This flight test of the common hypersonic missile marks a milestone for our nation in the development of this capability," said Vice Adm. Johnny R. Wolfe Jr, Director, Navy's Strategic Systems Programs, which is the lead designer of the common hypersonic missile. "Through our joint efforts, we are developing new equipment and adopting new defense concepts that will enable the Army to maintain superiority over any potential adversaries," said Lt. Gen. Robert Rasch Jr., Director, Army's Rapid Capabilities and Critical Technologies Office. Read on DoD: https://lnkd.in/gBRTZnCH

Yesterday, June 5th marked a milestone with the Army Corps of Engineers removed the last of the bridge structure blocking full opening of the shipping channel in Baltimore - nearly three months. Why did it take so long? The answer may lie in the decision by military authorities in the Department of the Navy and the Department of the Army selling off seagoing vessels including floating cranes, drydocks and ancillary support ships that were deemed to expensive to replace, too old to fix or just no longer needed. This capability is critical to our infrastructure. With it, this job should have taken about three weeks. The United States' ability to maintain and service our shipping assets is critical to trade as well as supporting free trade with military assets across the globe. When we needed it, we didn't have it - critical errors in operational continuity and a serious risk assessment miss. This problem is only now starting to gain the attention of Congress, rather than the military to whom the responsibility is assigned. Food for thought in your business - do you sell off assets for "savings"? Do you trust contractors to have the materials, people, skills and timeline to fix a problem?

American Tactical Advancement in World War I The New Lessons of Combined Arms and Open Warfare The U.S. Army evolved into a truly modern fighting force during World War I. When the U.S. entered the war in 1917, the infantry was its primary offensive arm. Training focused mainly on target practice, bayonet charges and marching drills. Antiquated tactics emphasized massive attack waves relying on ferocity to achieve battlefield objectives. Heavy casualties resulted when inexperienced American troops encountered entrenched German veterans trained in the use of modern artillery and machine guns. By war’s end the American Expeditionary Force had progressed along a bloody learning curve, developing sophisticated techniques—small flexible formations, fire-and-maneuver and infiltration—for breaking the trench warfare stalemate. Eventually, the AEF integrated new weapons like poison gas, tanks and aircraft into its offensive tactics and pioneered the mechanized combined arms warfare still practiced by the U.S. Army. The exploits of the Fifth “Red Diamond” Division exemplify this critical period of development. #militaryhistory https://lnkd.in/dUg-ttZm

Capable aircraft like F-22 Raptor is a key requirement for air dominance.
Global Satellite and Space Show, Eurasia Airshow, Military Medical WebExhibition, Defence Port Turkey, Turkey Expo Qatar
Feel free to enjoy the power of Pratt & Whitney F119-PW-100 turbofan engines which has given provided the most of the capabilities to F-22 raptor. The F-22 Raptor, a critical component of the Global Strike Task Force, is designed to project air dominance, rapidly and at great distances and defeat threats attempting to deny access to our nation's Air Force, Army, Navy and Marine Corps of United States. The F-22 cannot be matched by any known or projected fighter aircraft.
