Yesterday, the Santa Fe, TX school shooting survivors heard closing arguments in their civil case against the shooter’s parents. Texas’ child access prevention law only applies adult culpability in cases where firearms are made accessible to children under 17. The shooter was 17 when he used his father’s rifle to kill 10 and injure 13. I know some of these survivors - they are fighters. With stronger laws and clearer accountability, we can prevent others from experiencing what they have. Hold them in your heart, as they may hear a verdict on Monday. Christina Delgado Rhonda Hart
