Think of the firms that generated many fantastic business leaders themselves. Goodmans LLP and Torys LLP come immediately to mind with generations of business leaders. At Osler, I think of Purdy Crawford, Brian Levitt, Jim Ware and Jim Kofman. Think of those who have graduated to business success over the past ten years. How many of your partners could become real business successes outside of GC roles although those are relevant too in many cases.
