I have been attending Ohio Life Sciences set of talks all along this year and Jon Snyder always delivers with hitting me out of nowhere with immense drops of knowledge casually within a bigger conversations. With the broad range of topics this talk I could have been caught by -- IP rollup surprises, QSM importance, or the fact that FDA officers sometimes carry guns during inspections.
BUT the main takeaway for me at the "Proven Strategies: Product Dev, Clinical Trials, & Regulatory Success" event was about bringing packaging to the forefront of the #medicaldevice process. Focusing on WHAT can be said, what labelling needs to be present, and just overall the "logistics of delivery".
I have had some of these discussions in the past with Cardboard Helicopter Product Design during our overlapping projects BUT I thought that Mark Mazzone really hit it home during the discussions. Focusing on the approval process of packaging and telling some hairy stories about packaging that didn't fly causing issues with launch.
As an #engineering firm that takes #MedTech to market, I couldn't imagine putting in the effort to get taken out in the last mile.
Thinking of the packaging as not only a logistical requirement but of brand building makes a ton of sense and moving it into the initial #productdesign could upfront can really help highlight the items outside of "just getting the product to market".

Tyber Medical was my favorite place in the Valley to work at... thanks for the opportunity. You really does know how to treat your staff. If you ever need extra help... I am out here and open to opportunities.
