It’s been a week since Data + AI Summit took place and as I reflect on the event, there are three significant takeaways I have as the program lead. 1. It takes a village to pull off an event at this scale. Your people matter and having an environment of collaboration, partnership and respect is key for a successful event. This year’s summit was a wonderful example of cross-functional, agency, vendor, contractor teamwork at its best. 2. Trust your audience. We approached this event thinking about the data and AI community and what they wanted, not following the usual trends of tech conferences. We created experiences and a brand that resonated with our audience, resulting in the amazing energy and excitement we all felt on-site and virtually. 3. I am proud to be a Brickster. Databricks is a beacon of innovation for the data and AI community. The announcements we made at summit enforces our beliefs in democratizing data and AI, in turn helps organizations do really meaningful work. In closing, a hugely successful #dataaisummit and I can’t wait to work with the team to continue to set the bar higher next year!
