What’s my WHY⁉️ In 2018 I volunteered at a Veterans homeless Stand Down, and ran into a person I was stationed with 12 years earlier…unfortunately they were enrolled in HUDVASH and weren’t one of the other volunteers.

When separating (after 4 or 40 years) from the military, one of the common things I often talk to clients about, is identifying access to Veteran facilities. 1. Federal (including in - network) ✅ Hospitals ✅ Urgent Care ✅ Emergency ✅ Community ✅ Vet Centers ✅ “Benefits” ✅ Cemeteries 2. State ✅ A variety of the above Some want it. Others don’t. Some need them. Others won’t. In the comments, there’s two link to help identify all your needs. You better call Tyrone

Knowing about all of your benefits and how and where to get them is an important part of the process.

I didn’t even know that I could go to the urgent care by my house (non-VA) for a couple visits and be seen for free with my VA insurance.

This is a huge thing to think about. We live an area where there isn't much in town and you have to drive 2 hours to get to a VA hospital. For us no big deal, huge for someone that has to be seen at a hospital an not a clinic.

I too talk about these. I seem to be meeting many of the “don’t/wont” folks of your list of late. The one conversation that keeps coming up with them is that you may become a “want/need” as you age. Which BTW leads into the, “You need to get your claim in and fight (go through every step and effort) to get every condition recognized as service connected, even if the rating starts at zero” conversation.
