Controversial opinion, but I'm excited about Apple Vision Pro! And this comes from someone who's been into VR for a long time. Owning both a Pimax 5k and a Varjo Aero for gaming, I've been exploring options for productivity in VR/AR. Meta Quest is getting there, but seeing this demo from Apple, I get excited. It's a step forward in virtual experiences and productivity, and with the powerhouse that the AI industry is today, one can dare to think of what the future holds for us. Some will think this is gimmicky, but as they say, this technology from Apple is today the worst it will ever be, and if this is the baseline, the next iterations will only get better and more useful. I am super impressed with Apple's Vision Pro device. Some of the features I like are: 1. Facetime call: If you receive a Facetime using Vision Pro, another side person can see your avatar with complete facial expression. 2. The user can choose an environment which I felt is super immersive 3. VR capabilities look super promising 4. And as a programmer, I loved switching from desktop to Vision Pro window. Since the launch of the #AppleVisionPro this week there have been lots of people posting reviews on YouTube. After watching several this week one of my favorites is #CaseyNeistat's, especially when he is in the donut shop at 5:54. Casey does recommend another review by #MarquesBrownlee. I did watch this one and the video is really good for anyone that really wants a deeper dive of its technology features and some of things that he thinks will need to be improved in the next gen model to get more people to buy one.
