Yesterday, the U.S. Department of State’s Deputy Secretary Kurt Campbell signed the U.S.-Sweden Joint Statement on Cooperation in Advanced Wireless Technologies. The Statement underlines the critical role wireless communications play as a core part of our global infrastructure and reaffirms our joint commitment to expand cooperation on research and development, share best practices, and promote open and interoperable architectures – such as open radio access networks (Open RAN) – and resilient, secure, safe, trustworthy, inclusive, and sustainable 6G.
