Someone please explain the business model of having a 40% off coupon for online orders only. I had a dozen items at a national craft store chain in my cart, walked up to pay for them and tried to use the coupon, and was told it was "against store policy" for them to honor my coupon since I was shopping in person. I left my items there, drove 0.7 miles back to my house, placed the order online, and two hours later drove back and picked up my items, now 40% off. What a waste of time for store employees, who had to restock my original items (I offered to put them back but they insisted I leave them), and pull my order again. (The original items were still not restocked when I returned to the store. They were sitting in a bin behind the counter.) It was a waste of my time too - two trips to the store, 30 min in the store selecting my items, and then another 20 minutes at home finding them on the website. Corporate America - can we do better?
