With Google strongly supporting 𝗞𝗼𝘁𝗹𝗶𝗻 and 𝗞𝗠𝗣 and JetBrains boosting 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝘂𝗹𝘁𝗶𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘁𝗳𝗼𝗿𝗺 development, especially as 𝗶𝗢𝗦 is now in 𝗯𝗲𝘁𝗮 status, Kotlin's ecosystem is expanding rapidly. In addition to 𝗚𝗼𝗼𝗴𝗹𝗲, many major companies are adopting Kotlin and leveraging the power of Kotlin Multiplatform. The number of libraries for KMP is growing, and a curated list of these libraries can be found on GitHub. However, as this field is still new and evolving, finding showcase projects that meet specific needs can be challenging. To address this, I've created a GitHub repository that consolidates various projects, making it easier to find what you're looking for. Currently, the repository includes two projects: 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝗶𝗽𝗲 𝗔𝗽𝗽 by Abdul Basit and 𝗜𝗺𝗮𝗴𝗲 𝗩𝗶𝗲𝘄𝗲𝗿 from KMP samples. You can contribute by adding your projects or those you know about, or you can DM the details to the Page, and I will add them. Looking forward to your contributions! 🚀 Demystifying Kotlin's Suspend Functions: A Peek into Finite State Machines 🚀 Ever wondered how Kotlin's suspend functions work? They operate much like finite state machines (FSMs), transitioning between states based on external factors. When a suspend function is called, it moves from its initial state to a suspended state, allowing other code to run. After an asynchronous operation completes, it returns to its initial state and resumes execution. Thinking of suspend functions as FSMs can help us write more efficient and readable asynchronous code, providing a fresh perspective on their behavior. #Kotlin #Android #SuspendFunctions #FiniteStateMachines #AsynchronousProgramming #DeveloperInsights

KOTLIN DAY 17/n 🚀 Another day, another journey of learning and growth! 📚 Today, while touring, I delved into two intriguing topics in Kotlin: (i) inheritance and (ii) sealed classes. 🎓 Despite missing some pieces in my understanding of inheritance, I embraced the opportunity to explore sealed classes, adding another powerful tool to my Kotlin arsenal. 💡 On the personal front, (i) Sundays usually mean gym time, but my gym always remain closed at sunday. (ii) However, I made sure to fuel my mind with some enriching reading and, (iii) okay, maybe indulged in a tad bit of overthinking. 🧠 But hey, isn't that just part of the human experience? 🤔 And, (iv) as always, I documented my thoughts and experiences in my trusty journal. 📝 Here's to seizing every opportunity for growth and embracing the journey, no matter where it takes us! 🌟 #Kotlin #LearningJourney #GrowthMindset 🚀📚💡🧠📝

Fascinating full-stack resource list. What are your go-to resources for staying up-to-date in the world of full-stack development? #fullstackdev #community #resources

My first manager at Uber was Charles-Axel Dein. At the time, he started a small GitHub page where he collected useful resources (books, articles, videos etc) that helped him. These resources are on full-stack programming, and shared it with everyone on his team. I also went through it at the time. I just realized he's been updating this page for more than 7 years (!!). It's become quite the "comprehensive yet still concise" list. If you are interested in refreshing any part of the "fullstack muscle" and are looking to resources, here it is: https://lnkd.in/eumZTF_V (great stuff!!)
