“Clad windows don’t work in classically inspired architecture, they lack the detail and nuance to successfully translate the design language”. We hear that quite regularly from architects and while we agree in the broader sense, there are exceptions that prove the rule. Our bronze clad fenestration with traditionally inspired profiles is such an exception. The extruded bronze exterior with a luxurious patina finish is a classical aesthetic. A mahogany interior with your ideal stain finish blends to the interior palette. Solid brass handles of your choice and finish connect to concealed stainless steel multi-point locking hardware. Decorative solid brass slide stays provide functionality and control in conjunction with the brass butt hinges with ball tip finials. An ocean front legacy home benefits from bronze cladding. Bronze doesn’t rust. Period. Think about it.

Truthful Tuesday Topic: Inset Cabinets! Inset cabinets offer a classic and enduring design, thanks to their sleek lines and robust construction. Yet, there are factors to bear in mind when selecting these cabinets. The design of inset cabinets means they align perfectly with the cabinet frame, which can reduce the interior storage capacity. Their higher cost can be attributed to the intricate craftsmanship required to ensure consistently smooth lines. Additionally, the hinges might require frequent upkeep as they are typically more exposed to environmental factors. #insetcabinets #shilohcabinetry #informationalcabinets

What type of home is right for you? Single family? Condominium? Townhouse? Chateau in the French countryside? Let's examine the most common architectural styles: Characterized by their steeply pitched gable roofs, decorative half-timbering, and tall, narrow windows, Tudor homes exude an old-world elegance that is both rare and admired. This architectural style, provides a sense of warmth and coziness that is often lacking in modern designs. Tudor homes are typically constructed with high-quality materials like brick, stone, and wood, ensuring durability and long-lasting appeal. The interior often features detailed woodworking, leaded glass windows, and intricate stonework, adding to the property's charm and historical value. #dreamhome #homesweethome #realestateagent #architecturalstyle #home #tegrlty #theexecutivegrouprealty

Choosing the right flooring material is paramount for commercial spaces. Porcelain pavers stand out due to their scratch and stain resistance, ability to withstand heavy furniture, and because they can handle accidental drops of dishes and glasses without cracking. #CommercialConstruction #Construction #Architecture #Pavers #PorcelainPavers

Red oak wood is one of the most popular hardwoods in North America. Known for its strength, durability, and attractive grain, it is commonly used in furniture, flooring, cabinetry, and architectural millwork. The wood has a pale reddish-brown color with prominent grain patterns that make it a favorite for both traditional and modern designs. Red oak is easy to work with and responds well to stains and finishes, making it versatile for various projects. It’s also relatively affordable compared to other hardwoods, making it a cost-effective choice for high-quality construction and woodworking. Because of its porous nature, red oak is less resistant to water, so it’s not ideal for outdoor use without proper treatment. However, for indoor applications, it remains a top choice for both beauty and functionality. #WoodIndustry #SustainableWood #Woodworking #WoodPanels #Hardwood #ConstructionMaterials #TimberTrade #WoodProducts #Lumber #BuildingMaterials

Day 40 - Create cohesion. I designed this Coffer ceiling piece to tie multiple elements of the space together. This was then fabricated based on my drawings by Fehrenbacher Cabinets, Inc.. The ceiling accent was brought in as one solid piece and was mounted over framing by Tom Haas Construction. It is the first time that Fehrenbachers has created something like this. It is not 100% finished, but it is integral to the look of the space. #createeveryday #designisinthedetails #remodelingdesigner #ReadersChoiceAwards2023 #kitchencabinetsdesign #interiordesign #CustomRemodeling #licenseddesigner #ceiling #kitchendesignideas #kitchenrenovation #ReadersChoice2022 #designideas #designbuild #lakeridgecrossing #newburghindiana #evansvilleindiana FEHRENBACHER CABINETS INC.

Neo-Classical residence is a style of architecture that draws inspiration from classical Greek and Roman architecture but often incorporates modern or contemporary elements. Symmetry: The design is typically symmetrical, with a balanced arrangement of windows, doors, and other architectural elements. Columns and Pilasters: These are key elements, often inspired by the classical orders (Doric, Ionic, or Corinthian), and are prominently featured in porticos or entranceways. Pediments: Triangular pediments above doors and windows are a common feature, reflecting the influence of Greek temples. Grand Entrances: Entryways are often large, with wide stairs leading to the front door, framed by columns or pilasters. Flat or Low-pitched Roofs: Rooflines are often low-pitched or flat, with decorative cornices. Ornamentation: The detailing is elegant but not overly ornate, focusing on geometric shapes, classical motifs (like wreaths, garlands), and sculptural accents. Large Windows: Sash windows or French windows are common, often set in symmetrical patterns. Materials: The exterior is often made of stone, stucco, or brick, with decorative elements in stone or plaster. Inside, Neo-Classical homes often feature high ceilings, grand staircases, and detailed moldings, all aimed at creating a sense of elegance and timelessness.
