💡 Some of the biggest game releases in history were kept under wraps for years, thanks to Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). Games like Cyberpunk 2077, The Last of Us Part II, and many more relied on strict confidentiality to keep development secrets safe until launch day. This allowed developers to surprise players with never-before-seen features and storylines, preserving the excitement for release. 🎮 At Okami Games Studio, we fully understand the importance of confidentiality in game development. Whether you’re an indie studio or a major publisher, we offer robust NDAs to ensure that your projects remain secure while in our hands. From testing the next blockbuster to assisting with QA, your secrets are safe with us. 🔐 Let's build something incredible - confidentially! #OkamiGamesStudio #NDA #Confidentiality #GameDevelopment #GameTesting #GamingIndustry #IndieGames

Helping Producers in Games Build Better Games. Host and Publisher of the Building Better Games Podcast and Newsletter. Follow me for posts on leadership in game development. God bless!
Played a little bit of Anno 1800. Seems fun, I'll probably keep going at it for a bit. But man, that I had to mess with Ubisoft Connect to get into it was frustrating. Some of the top negative reviews come from people who struggle with the integration or are just annoyed at the experience. Left me thinking: Why do I get annoyed every time when I buy a game on steam and then some third party publisher platform becomes a requirement for me to play it, when I'm much more amenable to the League Client from Riot, or the BSG Launcher for EFT? I think it's because if I buy a game on Steam, I don't want to have to be launching and messing with other things. I just want to... play the game. To me, that seems like a reasonable expectation. Since I can't play League of Legends or Tarkov on Steam, I give them a bit of a pass. At least I'm only interacting with one intermediate layer. But when I buy the game on Steam and expect to play it, then get hit with the need to create an account or remember my credentials or download the latest launcher... It's a pain in the butt. I can kinda understand the decision-making, but I as a player know that you COULD make this much easier for me, and you don't. And that's annoying. You're prioritizing whatever the value of your platform is over me having a smooth first time (and sometimes ongoing) experience. It makes me dislike you, even if I like the game. And maybe you're cool with that, and are hoping games go to the place movies have gone, where most people just don't care about the publisher. But if and until that arrives, you're burning credibility. Again, perhaps that's worth it in your eyes, but it seems short-sighted. At the bare minimum, you should work hard to make the shift as seamless as possible for the player. Anyway, thoughts of a random gamer about (trying to) play games. #videogames #gamer #anno1800 #platforms #proprietary #needthatdata

That means rising competition, with over 14,400 games coming each year, but also opportunities to stand out and be successful. *A lot of options to nullify risk from the equation: Early Access, Lean Strategies, Fundraising... At Naga Agency, we have helped small studios and solo devs explore innovative strategies, such as Adaptive Development Process. We'll explain the setup during the next Academy sessions.
