🚀 Progress in Meta Hacker Cup 2024 🚀 I’m thrilled to share my journey through the 2024 Meta Hacker Cup, Meta's global coding competition. Round 1 was intense, with complex challenges that tested our skills and endurance—yet it was rewarding to finish with a score of 31 out of 100 points, securing a rank of 4,112th out of 22,494 participants and advancing to the next stage! Moving into Round 2, the competition sharpened even further, demanding peak focus and creativity. I achieved a score of 10 out of 100 points, which placed me at 2,048th out of 5,000—a significant milestone in a field of top-tier problem solvers. These experiences have fueled my passion for competitive programming and algorithmic problem-solving and remind me of the power of perseverance in tech. My Experience at the Meta Hacker Cup 2024: Pushing Boundaries and Gaining Insights Recently, I had the incredible opportunity to participate in the Meta Hacker Cup, one of the most prestigious and challenging programming contests in the world. For those unfamiliar, the Meta Hacker Cupis an annual global coding competition where top engineers from around the globe tackle complex algorithmic problems, all while testing their skills under intense pressure. This contest was more than just solving problems—it was about pushing my boundaries, working alongside passionate coders, and learning from every challenge. The experience was both demanding and insightful, and I’m grateful for the vast knowledge I’ve gained throughout the competition. Although I didn’t make it to the final stage this time, I strongly believe that **the value lies in the journey, the effort, and the experience**. Every obstacle presented a lesson, helping me improve my problem-solving approach and broaden my understanding. Success isn’t always immediate, but it’s the dedication, persistence, and desire to learn that truly shape the path forward. Last weekend, I participated in the Meta Hacker Cup 2024, and I'm sweetly excited to share that I ranked #6th in Pakistan in the practice round. 🎉 The Meta Hacker Cup is a global coding competition that brings together top talent to solve challenging problems. 🌟 Meta Hacker Cup - Round 1 Completed 🌟 After an intense 3-hour battle in Round 1 of the Meta Hacker Cup, I managed to solve 2 challenging problems. Unfortunately, I encountered a submission error, and my solutions didn’t go through as expected. However, I’m proud to have secured a ranking of 7,904th out of 22,000 competitive programmers from across the globe! 🌍 Although I didn’t make it to Round 2, this experience has been incredibly insightful, teaching me how to approach and solve problems in a highly competitive environment. Every challenge is a stepping stone, and I’m determined to learn from this. 🚀 InshaAllah next year, I’ll push my limits further and aim to break into Round 2 and beyond! 🌟Meta Hacker Cup 2024 - Round 2 Experience I secured Rank 3,644 in the Meta Hacker Cup - Round 2! Though I only managed to solve one problem, it was a great learning opportunity. Problem A1: Cottontail Climb (Part 1): For this, I wasn’t sure how to reduce the time complexity. So, I generated all the numbers up to 10^18 that fit the criteria, stored them in a vector, and then used that to get the answer. Problem A2: Cottontail Climb (Part 2): I attempted solving this using 3D DP, but encountered a segmentation fault during validation. Still, it was a challenging problem that pushed my limits.
