Fractional CEO/COO | 4 steps to skyrocket your gaming studio in 3 months | $100M+ Budgets Managed | ex-MD Blizzard, Gameloft & Huuuge
1 big mistake I learned going from Gameloft to Blizzard: Stability keeps you where you are. As a stable VP with my kids and family rooted in Japan. I lived the same routine for 12.5 years. Until I realized I wasn't growing. If I could go back, I would have done it sooner. Because nothing beats personal development. I hadn't considered South Korea due to a language barrier. ↳ Blizzard reassured me my skills were valuable without Korean proficiency. I joined them as Managing Director. This helped me overcome my big mistake. -> Adapting sooner rather than later is always a 𝗺𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗵𝗮𝘃𝗲. Being able to adapt, get out of your comfort zone, and deliver equally well is something that no company could show me. That transition from Japan to South Korea helped me overcome this. There are endless opportunities depending on where you look. If you're a gaming studio, and you're looking to scale up your business. I'm offering 1:1 mentorship for business advisory to help you: - Scale your business - Get funding - Take you to the next level DM me with the word "SCALE" and let's chat.

I've always wondered why the game industry of Türkiye 🇹🇷 is booming. After three of our annual events in Istanbul, I think I can attempt to explain the reason. Unsurprisingly, it comes down to the Turkish people working in the industry and the magical combination of shared traits: 🍽 HUNGRY: Turkish developers are driven by ambition and a desire to achieve their goals. Their hunger fuels their determination to overcome obstacles and reach new heights. And most importantly, they are not afraid to work hard. 🧠 SMART: I'm not talking only about intelligence. Turkish developers have practical wisdom, adaptability, and critical thinking. All of this allows them to continuously make sound decisions. ❓ HUMBLE: Despite their massive success, they lack arrogance. They recognize their strengths but also acknowledge their limitations. Humility is their secret sauce. It allows them to learn from others. I'm deeply grateful to the Turkish game industry for welcoming Deconstructor of Fun year after year to their beautiful country and attending our events. And of course, none of this would be possible without the amazing people of Google. Thank you for investing in the ecosystem, unlike any other company. And thank you for being such an amazing partner. #gameindustry #gamedevelopment

🎶 Founder, SWAY - Music & Culture | x-Riot Games, x-Sony Music | 💪 Helping the overweight get fit & guiding new entrepreneurs
Unlocking Global Audiences Through Music: A Story of Collaboration In the dynamic world of gaming, where pixels meet beats, one challenge stood out for Riot Games during WORLDS 2022: how to create an opening ceremony that resonated with players worldwide, blending cultural diversity with musical excellence. Enter the maestro of collaboration, where East meets West seamlessly. As a seasoned player in the Asian music scene, I took the helm to bridge this gap. By bringing the iconic Jackson Wang into the spotlight alongside Lil Nas X, we struck a chord that reverberated across continents. This partnership wasn't just a win for Riot Games and Jackson Wang; it exemplified the power of authentic cross-cultural exchange in entertainment. Here are three key takeaways from this harmonious collaboration: 1. Cultural Representation: Leveraging diverse talents enriches the gaming experience, fostering inclusivity and resonance among global players. 2. Market Expansion: For artists like Jackson Wang, collaboration with gaming giants opens doors to new audiences, forging genuine connections beyond borders. 3. Emotional Connectivity: Music transcends language barriers, amplifying the emotional impact of gaming experiences and making them universally relatable. As we delve deeper into this symbiotic relationship between music and gaming, let's explore together: What other music-game collaborations do you believe would strike the perfect chord? Share your thoughts below! 🎮🎶 #Gaming #Music #Collaboration #Innovation

Yesterday was the electrifying grand final of a record-breaking Six Invitational in São Paulo. Working with our colleagues and friends at Ubisoft on the biggest event in the BLAST Rainbow Six calendar, we achieved: - Over 9,000 tickets sold and fans in the arena per day - nearly 30,000 in total over the weekend - Record-breaking viewership of over half a million peak viewers, from all over the world - a 65% increase on the previous record of 300k - Economic impacts of over $12M for the city of São Paulo - 7 commercial partners including JBL, Lenovo, Intel, Eureka Ergonomics, Kingston Technology, CTRL, and Aura - An immeasurable atmosphere and experience! It's always impressive seeing how each BLAST event is unique, tailored to the market and community, and drives hugely impressive quantifiable (and some less quantifiable!) impacts. This event truly showed what esports is and can be, with one of the loudest and most passionate crowds I've ever seen at any live entertainment event. Next up... - Manchester - Montréal - US - Many more exciting global markets 🌍👀 #esports #esportsindustry #destinations #destinationmarketing

Product Manager | NUS MBA | Gaming PM Consultant | Launched Canada's newest media streaming platform
Last post about Riot Games I swear... We know 2XKO's winning aspiration, the arena it will play in and the users it wants to target. The final step of our framework is outlining what needs to be in place to execute on product strategy. For simplicity sake, I bucketed it into Hiring, Design, and Publishing and laid out top priorities for each. 📄 Read the FULL report here: https://lnkd.in/gJ7YxA_2 To wrap up - 2XKO is a great case study for gaming PM's given how genuinely new it is for Riot. New genre (fighting), new platform (console), new segments (FGC), and new'ish markets (e.g Dominican Republic, Pakistan). Big thanks again to Maximilian Wischow for sharing his product expertise and introducing the Playing to Win framework to me! 🙏
