Our very own Indiana Jones is back! UC San Diego Jacobs School alumnus Albert Yu-Min Lin, Ph.D. is launching a new season of his National Geographic show Lost Cities Revealed on Disney+ and Hulu tomorrow! Tune in after your turkey to follow along as Lin travels the world using advanced technology to uncover the mysteries of the past. Lin is a three-time alumnus of UC San Diego in UC San Diego Program in Materials Science and Engineering (Ph.D. ’08) and UC San Diego Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering Department (BS ’05, MS ‘06). He helped launch our Engineers for Exploration program, before embarking on his own global expeditions to find Ghengis Khan’s tomb; searching for lost Mayan temples in Guatemala; and finding secrets in ancient Chinese tombs. In addition to using tech to strip back the layers of time as a National Geographic explorer, he’s also an associate research scientist at the Qualcomm Institute - UC San Diego Division of Calit2 and is involved with the Center for Psychedelic Research at the UC San Diego School of Medicine.
