🚀 Imagine healthcare transformation as a design challenge: What if the key isn't just tweeking the system, but unlocking the power of human connection to reimagine and reshape it entirely? During the four years into The Pivot Group, that's exactly the experiment we've been running—and 2024 proved something magical happens when you bring the right humans together. This year was about creating moments where healthcare professionals, patients, policymakers, and innovators saw possibility through a completely different lens. Some transformative highlights that kept us fired up: • Facilitating design sprints that turned complex healthcare challenges into actionable innovations. Remember: "In healthcare we love our processes and pride ourselves on safe ways of working. This is admirable! It was my privilege to represent #TeamBayer at Fortune’s #BrainstormHealth and share how Bayer | Consumer Health is advancing our vision to “help billions of people live healthier lives with the most trusted self-care solutions.”  Some takeaways from the overall conference: - 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿𝘀’ 𝗚𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗣𝗼𝘄𝗲𝗿: Accessible, digital information + empowered attitudes = greater consumer voice. Hopefully this leads to better outcomes. - 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵 𝗘𝗾𝘂𝗶𝘁𝘆: Huge disparities exist, driven by socioeconomics. There are complex macro problems, but when companies commit to expanding access to underserved populations, we can make progress. - 𝗣𝗼𝘁𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗮𝗹 𝗳𝗼𝗿 #𝗔𝗜 𝗶𝘀 𝗩𝗮𝘀𝘁: Better diagnostics, more personalized care, and reduced cost. Most exciting may be the possibility to increase health equity.   - 𝗛𝗼𝗹𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗖𝗮𝗿𝗲: There is a new recognition of the complex interconnectedness of our body's functions. Rather than compartmentalizing any one health issue, we must think broadly to treat the whole body. - 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘀𝘂𝗺𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘁𝗵: Self-care and #OTC are often the first – and sometimes only – line of defense for people without easy access to doctors or hospitals. OTC also plays a huge role in proactive, preventive wellcare.
