Computer science is for everybody! This #CSEdWeek and beyond, we want to say thank you to all Computer Science educators and support your efforts to nurture a sense of belonging for all students. - One powerful way to connect students to computer science is to increase mentorship opportunities for educators, which research shows helps build community and deepen instructional knowledge and subject matter expertise. - Dr. Aleata Hubbard Cheuoua, Senior Research Scientist in WestEd's Learning and Technology team, helps lead MENTORS in CS, a year-long, equity-focused peer mentoring program which pairs experienced Computer Science teachers with teachers who are brand new to CS. - This project is a collaboration between Computer Science Teachers Association, WestEd, and three CSTA communities. 🤩 To learn more about #ComputerScience education and our efforts to scale mentorship opportunities, visit WestEd’s CS Ed website: https://bit.ly/3VyLBgS
