With due respect to your vision in transforming our higher education management, wish to humbly submit my experience in India, after more than sixteen years of academic teaching in London School of Economics & Political Science, International Programme in UAE. 1. The need for change should emanate from Higher Education Management since it would entail new Faculties/ FDP / new curriculum development by experts who are short supply and expensive. The present trend is why should we bell the cat, during our short term. 2. Universities should be the harbingers for change by bringing in new resources persons who are professionally qualified with relevant experiential teaching/ and can demonstrate by doing what is taught. 3. Text Books / curriculums should be standardised for enabling professional quality education under strict vigilance from Universities, as per the New Education Policy.

UGC's expectation that we should prepare real world problems solver only can be achieved when state and private universities would be equipped with proper infra structures and learned professors and students eager to learn which attend classes regularly and participate in all the institutional activities. At the moment emphasis is on admissions and pass them in examinations without worrying about courses, classes and academic activities. We need drastic changes in views of those who are running HEIs.
