Bild is among 14 organisations calling on our political leaders to take action to protect the rights of people with Learning Disabilities and autistic people. “As a society we can decide whether we provide children and adults with learning disabilities, and autistic children and adults, with the support and services, including a named social worker, which we know enables them to lead the fulfilling lives that they have a right to. We know it is possible.” Read the full letter here https://lnkd.in/e2bbn-fW

At MSDC, we don't just teach our people how to weed the garden (i.e., handle the bad stuff). We also teach them how to grow their garden (i.e., celebrate the good stuff). So, after a session of weeding the courtyard the other day, our Jobs Club folks learned about plants from the wonderful Martha from Flowers on Redwood. #pawaiverprograms #berksmhdd #sam #odp #PF #ABI #SCFF You and your attorneys take the time to read this in its entirety, no one is following the correct process and PA Codes. A book I read 100% and confirms everything I am posting. Directly from Office of Developmental Programs. The Gold Book 2023. Understanding ODP - You have been running this program wrong for years. No one is keeping signed documents of consent. No one is giving fair hearing rights because no one knows the process! You take control as if you are court ordered to do so. It is a full voluntary program and the participant and family make all the decisions. You can keep trying to block this out of the court system, but I will continue to post and PURSUE JUSTICE! I will continue to share with everyone who will read and see WTF is going on! #SYSTEMATICFAILURES #BERKSCOUNTYPA #PAWAIVERPROGRAMS #NEEDSFULLINVESTigATIONS #VIOLATIONPACODE55CHAPTER61006400 #VIOLATINGOPERATINGAGREEMENTSWITHSTATEOFPA #BERKSCOUNTYCOMMISSIONERSAREYOUREADING https://lnkd.in/eayHN3uB

They also highlight the importance of seamlessly integrating assessments in teaching-learning processes. The issue's pieces reaffirm the need to place classroom processes and teachers' agency at the center of our deliberations and the importance of making assessments inclusive for children with disabilities.
