UCSF Health’s Post

I need your help to stay with UCSF doctors. I found hope after a long search, and now the insurance- Medicare- or and jack of communication between them and UCSF is leaving me in limbo. I also have Medical, and it seems is matter of horrible buorocatic things, if I didn’t have Medicare, it seems all will be ok, so I don’t understand, but I feel lost. Do anyone can help? The doctors from UCSF are giving me hope, options and caring attitude, how can I stay with you? My insurance is call Wellcare Medicare / HealthNet , and UCSF Health is telling me I need to be part of the group call Hills physicians group, something like that. This last December I was very close to dying, for real, I am a 39 years HIV long term survivor, living with #chronicpain. So, it seems this is a matter of paperwork. I am an advocate, activist and I feel lost. My last doctor ( OPTIMUS MEDICAL GROUP ) Shawn Hassler / pa @lucas french, told me literally I was too much work for him, and not worth it to fight for a 20 dollar pill. This is a real story, and we can verify all this information. Can anyone help? Our HIV agencies and organizations in the Bay Area, are not much help in aging services. I feel tired, but I know, without a doubt , I’m a good person.

UCSF provides not only very knowledge doctors but very caring and empathetic, something many hospitals do not provide given the pressure they face from insurance companies. Hope U SF will not go that way. Proud to have been part of this community for 40 years!
