VRBO is a vacation rental site. Airbnb is a vacation rental site. 👉 Humor me, there's a sales lesson in here. I've rented places on both. And, in my mind they're basically the same. But yesterday I saw a commercial for VRBO that I think did a brilliant job of creating differentiation between the two. -Rent an Airbnb if you're OK staying with a person in their own house.😕 -Or rent a VRBO if you want a completely private vacation rental.🌴 Don't know about you, but I'd much rather have a place all to myself. Credit to the marketing team at VRBO for creating a message that creates differentiation in the minds of buyers (even though you have the option to rent a property on Airbnb without the host being right in the same place with you). As a seller, you need to be able to do the same thing. You need to be a mini marketer of sorts. To create differentiation in the minds of buyers. Because as you learn about your prospect and the problem they have. You'll inevitably uncover alternatives they have to solve that problem. This is where you can put your mini marketer hat on.
