Grateful to contemporary Indigenous artist from Little Red River Cree Nation, Jason Carter, for creating this beautiful visual symbol of UFA’s commitment to reconciliation, titled “The UFA Lodge of the Land.” In honour of the National Day for Truth and Reconciliation, UFA is donating $1,000 to Spirit North a charitable organization that helps empower Indigenous youth. Endowment” is the word often used to refer to a designated pool of assets that are invested by and tracked separately such that a modest portion (usually based on a percentage) of the assets are distributed each year for charitable purposes, and the rest of the assets remain invested to grow in perpetuity. This growth, in turn, helps the endowment provide even more support each year to #nonprofits. #Philanthropy
