✨Nobody loves surveys as much as I do ✨ Data Fairy ✨No buzzwords allowed🏆 Quirk's Award & Insight250 Winner
👀A survey with N=2,250+ LGBTQ members on a sensitive topic, and the data looks b-e-a-u-t-i-f-u-l 😍 What’s the secret? 🗣️ A qual phase before quant ✍️ A thoughtful questionnaire informed by qual with some time to think through those pesky repetitive attributes. 🎨 A survey designed in PowerPoint with engaging images and friendly dialogue before being scripted. 🧪 Testing of the experience (not logic) by people who don’t live and breathe surveys every day like we do. 👥 Blending the best sample sources with robust profiling + strong security Anyone with the right skills and mindset can do this! It doesn’t have to take months or break the bank. It's not magic, it's smart research! 🚀 #mrx #dataquality #surveys

Dropping some more gems from the Protecting the LGBTQ+ Mobile Workforce education session at the GBTA Convention 2023 in Dallas. Some insight from Christie Connolley (BCD Travel and GBTA | Risk Committee) on how organizations can balance the needs of LGBTQ+ employees’ duty of care and the employees’ right to privacy. "Create an organizational culture where the needs of your diverse workforce is a thread woven through every aspect of their organization. So then if we take it down to a more granular level, if your employees feel heard and respected, they will feel much more comfortable coming to you with concerns about safety and identity. You're building that trust with your employees. Of course, there's always going to be employees who don't want to disclose. So that's why it's so important to have information available and easy to access so that they can prepare themselves for what to expect, whether that's travel, security training, destination information, or what to do in an emergency. Again, weaving that thread of safety and inclusion through every aspect of your travel program."

The Center for Democracy & Technology, the CYBER CIVIL RIGHTS INITIATIVE, and NNEDV are thrilled to announce the formation of a multistakeholder working group that will identify interventions to prevent and mitigate the harms caused by the creation, spread, and monetization of non-consensual intimate images, including AI-generated content. Non-consensual intimate images can have lasting emotional, psychological, and financial impacts. Moreover, the distribution of this content — or even threats to distribute it — deters participation in the marketplace of ideas by those depicted, disproportionately silencing women, particularly women of color, LGBTQ+ people, and non-binary people, creating barriers to free expression in addition to invading privacy. 🏳️🌈 Are you looking for queer-owned spaces in your neighborhood? Do you run a queer-owned business and are trying to get your name out into the community? 🏳️🌈 Everywhere Is Queer is a searchable map created for the queer, trans, and ally community to find welcoming spaces to shop, connect, eat, learn, and grow! This public resource is free and easily accessible online, with an app currently in development that we can expect to see down the road. As anti-LGBTQ+ laws and sentiment continue to skyrocket across the world, it’s important now more than ever to offer spaces where people know they can be free to exist as themselves without fear of harassment. As business owners, we can learn a lot from Everywhere is Queer and their commitment to building community resources that uplift those most impacted and help them continue to operate and grow under currently oppressive conditions and systems. Find Everywhere is Queer on Instagram: @everywhereisqueer Image description: The background of the graphic consists of a variety of papers lying on top of one another, covered by a blue filter. In the top left corner of the image is a black and white hand holding a compass. In the top right corner is a logo for the organization Everywhere is Queer, which is a black and white circle containing the org’s name and a multi-colored map pin. In the bottom right corner taking up most of the graphic is a vibrant young Black person smiling gleefully with eyes closed. They have a large afro of curly black hair, and wear double gold hoop earrings, a septum piercing, gold eyeliner, a pearl necklace, a puka shell necklace, and a collared shirt with cream, orange, and yellow swirls. #QueerOwnedSpaces #EverywhereIsQueer #QueerCommunity #LGBTQ+Business #InclusiveBusiness #SupportQueerBusiness #FindYourCommunity #SafeSpaces #CommunityResources #QueerVisibility #AllyCommunity #WelcomingSpaces #InclusiveEnvironment #QueerBusinessOwners #EqualityMatters #FightForInclusion

This 🏳️🌈Pride month, let's celebrate the incredible 2SLGBTQ+ community and hold companies accountable for their allyship. While rainbow logos are a nice gesture, they're a hollow display without concrete action. I'm out and proud, and for me, Pride is about progress. It's about creating workplaces where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to be their authentic selves. That means more than just hanging a flag for a month. It's about supporting 2SLGBTQ+ causes by donating to organizations that fight for equality and representation. It's about building diverse workforces by going beyond quotas and actively recruiting and hiring LGBTQ+ talent at all levels. It's about creating inclusive workplaces where everyone feels safe, valued, and empowered to be themselves. This 🏳️🌈Pride, let's hold corporations accountable. Let's celebrate companies that walk the walk, not just talk the talk. And to my fellow 2SLGBTQ+ professionals out there, let's keep pushing for the workplaces we deserve – ones that are truly diverse, equitable, and inclusive. #2SLGBTQ #inclusion #workplaceequality #pridemonth

I help leaders leverage the right data to foster inclusive cultures while building psychologically safe practices for teams and clients. Ask me how ☺️🏳️🌈. | DEI Practitioner | Speaker, Coach, Consultant
😥 Sadly, the U.S. security agencies advise LGBTQ+ Americans to "exercise increased caution" ahead of Pride — the reason is an increased risk of being targeted by foreign terrorist organizations. 💔 There are no specific locations of concern that have been provided by the State Department, FBI, and Department of Homeland Security. 💔 The community must stay alert in locations frequented by tourists, including Pride celebrations. 💔 The FBI and DHS cited the upcoming eighth anniversary of the 2016 Pulse nightclub shooting in Orlando, where 49 people were shot and killed at a gay bar. 🏳️🌈 While we should proceed with caution, we shouldn't let them win and deserve to celebrate who we are through these momentous events! EMPLOYERS: 👉🏾 Provide the funding and resources needed for your organization to acknowledge and celebrate Pride Month. 👉🏾 Share these concerns with employees and encourage others to be allies to the LGBTQ+ community. If you are in need of allyship training for LGBTQ+, Star Peterson offers fantastic training for this! 👉🏾 Educate you and your organization on the barriers and struggles the LGBTQ+ community faces, especially transgender and non-binary employees. 👉🏾 Remind LGBTQ+ employees of any resources that can support their mental health. If you don't have resources, PLEASE look into ways to provide services that can help the community—for example, EAP programs, gender-affirming care, and the like. 👉🏾 If you don't have an Employee Resource Group for your LGBTQ+ employees, create a survey to seek interest in developing one. We need a shared space to connect with people who can understand one another lived experience. 👉🏾 If you have any questions about ways to support your LGBTQ+ employees, DM me or comment PRIDE below. 🏳️🌈 To my LBGTQ+ family, stand strong, remember your badassery, celebrate, dance like nobody is watching, and stay safe! #pride #lgbtqplus #staystrong #staysafe #pulse #pridemonth #allyship #supportthecommunity
