📢 Update on the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Events (APPG) The inaugural meeting of the APPG for Events took place in Parliament on 17th December 2024. Key outcomes from the meeting include: Shaun Davies, MP for Telford (Labour), was formally elected as Chair. Officers Elected: Jack Rankin, MP for Windsor (Conservative) David Baines, MP for St Helens North (Labour) Gill German, MP for Clwyd North (Labour) In addition, Davies Tanner, through its The Business of Events Think Tank and Advocacy Network, has been confirmed as the Official Secretariat and Special Advisors to the APPG. The necessary documentation to formally register the APPG in Parliament has been submitted to the Office of the Parliamentary Commissioner for Standards, with confirmation anticipated within the next 5-7 working days. 📌 Corporate Membership Now Open Applications for corporate membership of the APPG are now being accepted.
