The UK will become the first country in the world to roll out a national vaccination programme against Respiratory Syncytial Virus (RSV), protecting infants & older people from becoming seriously ill. RSV accounts for 39,000 hospitalisations each year. https://lnkd.in/gjPwnSnk

Having had a young daughter blue-lighted to hospital with severe respiratory difficulties due to RSV resulting in a short stay in hospital, I fully support this 🙌🏻

Excellent news! Seeing my 17 month old daughter spend several days in hospital with severe respiratory problems as a result of RSV is something I wouldn’t wish on any parent - this is a brilliant step forward 😁

This is the one that cross reacts with a Sendai Virus serology assay isn’t it ? I’m guessing it is a paramyxovirus ?
