We witnessed an excellent panel at the It's About People 2024 conference. The Future of European university integration and alliances was the main topic of discussion by four distinguished experts, who shared insights and debate strategies and answered the provocative question: Is Europe on the brink of creating multi-campus mega-universities? "European University Alliances now consist of 50 networks of universities from various European countries, encompassing 430 higher education institutions across 35 countries. With around 1700 associated partners from EU and non-EU universities, these alliances play a crucial role in advancing the European Higher Education Area and the European Research Area, supported and funded by the EU. Strengthening their connections, these alliances aim to gain a collaborative advantage over non-member universities, enhancing the competitiveness of European universities globally and within the research market," Professor Dr Jurij Toplak explained in the introduction. In discussion, also participated: Jan Palmowski, 'A Conquest for Future Generations'? European Universities from Vision to Practice Nadia Manzoni, Taking the European Cooperation in Higher Education to the Next Level – What Does It Take? Agata Lambrechts, PhD, AFHEA, The European Universities initiative: between status hierarchies and inclusion

"Pays Cible" 🎯 - a concept to #foster collaboration between two higher education and research regions. This year, Switzerland had the pleasure to be invited as "pays cible" by Académie de recherche et d'enseignement supérieur - ARES. A Swiss delegation of IRO respresentatives of Swiss higher education institutions met their colleagues from the Wallonia-Brussels Federation in April in Brussels. https://lnkd.in/gMURCCae The main goal was to foster the #understanding of the respective higher education and research landscapes 🔎, to learn from each other's #expertise 🗨 and to develop academic #collaboration between the two regions. One of the fruits 🍒 of this exchange is a factsheet which we would like to share! ❔ ❓ ❔ A question to our colleagues from the Swiss higher education sector: What would be your "pays cible" you would like to get to know better?

3 Key Takeaways from the MBA course "Entrepreneurship & Innovation" at Berlin Professional School – HWR Berlin 🚀 We were back at university this weekend, this time for the Entrepreneurship and Innovation module. And once again, I’m happy to share some insights with you. Here we go: 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸 𝗕𝗲𝘆𝗼𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗕𝘂𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗲𝘀𝘀 𝗣𝗹𝗮𝗻 🧮🪽 Plans are nice, but they often become obsolete the moment they’re printed! Instead, it's all about the Business Model Canvas – a dynamic tool to test, iterate, and evolve your startup concept in real-time. Embrace the messiness of innovation; it’s where real progress happens! 𝗗𝗲𝘀𝗶𝗴𝗻 𝗧𝗵𝗶𝗻𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴: 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗠𝗮𝗴𝗶𝗰 𝗼𝗳 𝗖𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗺𝗲𝗿-𝗖𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 🧠💡 Whether it's building the next unicorn or reimagining traffic in Berlin 2030, the key is to empathize with the user and create rapid prototypes. Fast feedback beats lengthy planning every time. 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗻 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗠𝗶𝗻𝗱𝘀𝗲𝘁: 𝗙𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁, 𝗟𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻 𝗙𝗮𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗿 📉➡️📈 Forget lengthy product launches. Focus on MVPs (Minimum Viable Products), gather user feedback, and adapt. The journey from problem-solution fit to product-market fit is all about staying agile. Big thanks to Professor Sven Ripsas for really pushing the startup spirit 🙏 #Entrepreneurship #Innovation #DesignThinking #LeanStartup #MBA #StartupMindset
