UK Research and Innovation’s Post

UK Research and Innovation reposted this

Satellite navigation systems aboard aircrafts have seen an increase in hacking in recent months ✈️ Highly resilient quantum navigation technology could be key to ensuring flights are able to takeoff without disruption. Infleqtion UK, who have received government and UK Research and Innovation support of nearly £8m led the project, alongside BAE Systems Air and QinetiQ, and partners from across the UK. The success of the tests will help fulfil the UK’s commitment of making the country a quantum-enabled economy. See the first UK trials take place on an in flight aircraft 👇

Really proud of the quantum ISCF team at Innovate UK who delivered this project. Its been several years since the ISCF programme was launched and it continues to deliver world class industry led innovation. Lets hope that ISCF 2.0 arrives, if indeed it does arrive, early enough to close the gulf in funding now ISCF 1.0 is coming to a close!

What happened to DME / DME (eDME / eDME) + triple INS navigation + ILS + VOR ++ ADC + various form vectoring ? It sounds really fantastic with QuAnTum Navigation, but how do you initiate a system during dire conditions? Is it possible to have a video without background music-jamming, please?
