As a more natural introvert, I have always found the prospect of networking daunting. Working a room? Makes me (still) want to run for the hills! What I have learned, and continue to learn, is that networking isn't always about working the room. This conversation is sure to be insightful and informative. Jodi Kovitz and Assad Mallick, CCP, GRP, CHRL, BComm are two of the best networkers I know! Looking forward to listening and learning from them both. #networking #development
Join us at our upcoming LinkedIn live on Sep 19, featuring Jodi Kovitz in conversation with Assad Mallick about the critical role of building a robust network and community, including how fostering connections can drive diversity of thought, spur innovation, and create new opportunities. PHI UK: Healthy Urban Places is now on LinkedIn! https://lnkd.in/eR-hJCQB Healthy Urban Places, one of PHI UK's founding consortia, is examining how population health is affected by various features of the urban environment - such as walkability, air quality, housing, public transport, and access to various products, community assets and services. The aim is to influence decisions that can make cities healthier and happier places to live. Healthy Urban Places is a partnership between research institutions, local communities and decision-makers, working with partners in Bradford and Liverpool. Can you believe that when I encounter an accessibility barrier, that task is likely to take me more than twice as long as if it had been accessible? Check out more on this research from AFB!
Did you know that AFB recently released results from its second Barriers to Digital Inclusion Study? We found that each study participant experienced an average of 17.7 barriers during the 10-day period, or about 12 per week. Although participants could resolve most barriers independently or with the help of a sighted person, in about 20% of instances, participants could not find a solution and had to give up on a digital task. Learn more about this study in our most recent AFB Blog post written by AFB’s Director of Research, Dr. Arielle Silverman: https://ow.ly/LB1A50REWnA.
