I often find it challenging to grasp the applicability of IAF MDs across various accreditation schemes. Fresh from our recent joint APAC-ARAC reevaluation of the Gulf Cooperation Council Accreditation Center (GCC-GAC) that covered some of the IAF side schemes, I devised a method to streamline this information with the idea to present these MDs in a tabulated format, allowing for easy identification and a quick overview of their relevance to each accreditation scheme. Majority of the MDs are related to ISO/IEC 17021-1 however application of those also depends on the level-5 sub-scopes in this scheme.
