Writer | Spiritual Mentor | Ordained Metaphysical Minister 💍Founder ESME STUDIOS Bespoke Luxury Jewellery 🖊 Writer at Charlotte Esmé Spiritual Seduction
ESME STUDIOS, crafting bespoke luxury jewellery is not just a profession; it's an art form that intertwines innovative design with exquisite craftsmanship. Each piece we create mirrors the essence of individual expression, capturing the unique beauty of the wearer. But what sets ESME STUDIOS apart is their belief that the process of designing, creating, casting, and setting these stunning pieces parallels the profound journey of spiritual awakening—an alchemy of transformation and refinement. In the realm of spiritual alchemy, the journey towards awakening involves the transmutation of base energies into refined frequencies. This process unfolds through a series of stages, symbolising the inner and outer transformation experienced by individuals seeking enlightenment. Similarly, the creation of fine jewellery at ESME STUDIOS mirrors this alchemical journey. The journey begins with the raw materials—rough gemstones and metals waiting to be transformed. Much like the base energies in spiritual alchemy, these materials hold untapped potential, waiting to be revealed. Through the hands of skilled artisans, these raw elements undergo a metamorphosis, gradually unveiling their innate brilliance. Art Basel Hong Kong Regains Its Robust Presence: The fair has reclaimed its full vigor with the comeback of previous exhibitors, reinforcing Hong Kong's position as a pivotal art hub in Asia despite enduring political and economic hurdles. The lifting of all Covid-related restrictions last year has breathed new life into the event, attracting a total of 242 exhibitors, a substantial increase of 93 compared to 2023. Among these exhibitors, 23 are newcomers to the fair, while 69 are making a comeback after an absence that, for some, spanned four years. This resurgence signifies a renewed confidence in Hong Kong's status as the epicenter of Asia's art market. Conversely, China's economic landscape is grappling with an extended downturn, as its property sector remains mired in turmoil, reeling from the defaults of various developers. This systemic risk has notably dampened the sentiment surrounding luxury goods spending, as evidenced by the second-half 2023 results from giants like LVMH and Kering. The art market has not been spared, with disappointing auction sales, including works consigned by the founders of the Long Museum. Dealers coming back to the Hong Kong fair see much opportunity. There’s perhaps less impulse-buying, and collectors are more sophisticated. The resurgence of Hong Kong's art market transcends the boundaries of Art Basel, notes its director Angelle Siyang-Le. Auction houses, whose executives are well-versed in the epicenters of major business, are flocking to the city with new, architecturally stunning buildings designed by renowned firms. Last year witnessed the unveiling of Phillips' sleek new space, a collaboration between Herzog & de Meuron and LAAB Architects, situated opposite the M+ museum. Sotheby's has commissioned the Rotterdam-based architects MVRDV to design its new "Maison," slated to open in the Landmark Chater luxury retail building in July. Meanwhile, Christie's is poised to become the anchor tenant in the nearby Henderson skyscraper, designed by the esteemed Zaha Hadid Architects, later this year. On the political front, however, an uneasy atmosphere persists. Apprehensions regarding China's legal oversight of Hong Kong – which witnessed intense pro-democracy demonstrations in 2019 – have been reignited following the expedited passage of an expanded security bill earlier this month. This legislation, which took effect on March 23, imposes new penalties for acts of treason and insurrection, reigniting concerns about the city's autonomy. #artcollecting #artexhibition #artmuseum #artinvesting #artinvestment #artcollector #artnews #artworld #artmarket #artmarketnews #artauction #artgallery #artfair #arthistory #artworld #fair #worldrecord #modernart #impressionism #postwar #contemporaryart #ft #financialtimes #artbasel #hongkong #hk https://lnkd.in/eSDKCRss
